Terms of Service
Effective / Last Updated: August 13, 2026
Welcome to AEGIS — Alliance Executive Governance & Intelligence System (“AEGIS,” “we,” “our,” or “the Service”). By accessing or using AEGIS, including its Discord integration, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use AEGIS.
1. Purpose of AEGIS
AEGIS is an alliance-management and coordination service for Politics & War. Depending on the permissions granted to your nation or Discord account, features may include military operations, war alerts, counter coordination, economic and grant workflows, alliance intelligence, diplomacy, training, governance, notifications, and alliance management tools.
2. Eligibility and Authority
You may use AEGIS only if you are permitted to use Politics & War and Discord under their respective terms and meet any minimum-age or legal requirements that apply to you. You are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to perform any alliance-management or Discord-server action you initiate through AEGIS.
Alliance Leaders, Heirs, role managers, economic staff, military staff, and other privileged users are responsible for using their access only for legitimate alliance purposes.
3. Nation and Discord Linking
Some features require you to link a Politics & War nation to a Discord account. You must link only a nation and Discord account that you are authorized to control. You may not impersonate another player, falsely claim a nation, or attempt to bypass AEGIS verification.
4. Permissions and Alliance Management
AEGIS uses alliance position and authorized AEGIS roles to determine access. AEGIS permissions do not change your official Politics & War alliance position or your Discord server permissions.
Access may be changed or revoked when necessary for alliance operations, security, abuse prevention, or compliance.
5. War Alerts, Notifications, and Automated Information
AEGIS may send Discord messages, direct messages, role mentions, grant notifications, target updates, announcements, DEFCON notices, task updates, and war alerts when those features are enabled.
War and intelligence information may depend on data supplied by Politics & War and may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or change after AEGIS displays it. AEGIS notifications are coordination aids and are not a guarantee that every event will be detected or delivered.
To reduce duplicate or outdated notifications after an outage or reconnection, AEGIS may synchronize events already in progress without sending alerts for those older events.
6. Economic and Grant Features
Economic programs, grant eligibility, budgets, safekeeping calculations, treasury information, and approval workflows are alliance-management tools. Alliance leadership remains responsible for reviewing and approving transfers and verifying financial or resource actions before relying on AEGIS.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use AEGIS to violate Discord, Politics & War, or applicable law;
- attempt to access alliance information or management functions you are not authorized to use;
- circumvent authentication, permissions, rate limits, or security controls;
- submit false ownership information or impersonate another player or Discord user;
- interfere with AEGIS availability, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or intentionally overload the Service;
- use information obtained through AEGIS for harassment, doxxing, unlawful profiling, discrimination, or other abusive conduct; or
- use AEGIS to collect passwords, tokens, or other credentials from other users.
8. Third-Party Services
AEGIS integrates with third-party services, including Discord and Politics & War. Those services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, permissions, APIs, and availability. AEGIS is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Discord Inc. or Politics & War unless expressly stated otherwise.
9. Service Availability and Changes
AEGIS may be updated, interrupted, suspended, or changed at any time. Features may be added, modified, restricted, or removed for maintenance, security, API changes, alliance requirements, or other operational reasons.
10. Suspension and Termination
Access may be limited, suspended, or terminated if we reasonably believe a user is abusing AEGIS, compromising security, violating these Terms, violating applicable third-party platform rules, or no longer has the required alliance authorization.
11. Disclaimer
AEGIS is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, complete or current third-party data, delivery of every notification, or suitability for any particular strategy or alliance decision.
12. Limitation of Responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the AEGIS service operators are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from unavailable or inaccurate third-party data, missed notifications, user configuration, alliance decisions, or unauthorized use of a user’s account.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as AEGIS changes. The “Last Updated” date will be revised when material changes are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Support and Questions
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the AEGIS Report a Bug / Support feature or through the official AEGIS Discord community.
